The work

Four live sites, and sixteen designs built to show the standard

The first four are real businesses with real customers, and you can open every one and click around. The sixteen after them are designs built for invented businesses, across the seven sectors we build for, to show how the work is put together when nobody has handed us a brief.

Which is which is marked on every one. The four marked Live site are real, named with permission, and the link goes to the site itself rather than a picture of it. One of them is our own business and says so. The sixteen marked Concept are invented businesses. Nothing on this page is a testimonial, and there are no numbers attached to anyone's results.

Live site

Medispa and training academy · Brentwood · seven sections

Fresh Faces MediSpa

One business selling four different things to four different people. Someone booking a lash lift and someone enrolling on an accredited course are not the same customer, and a single page of treatments makes both of them dig.

  • Aesthetics, facials, the medispa, hair and beauty and the academy each have their own route in, so nobody lands in the wrong one
  • Booking reachable from any page, three ways: online, WhatsApp, or the phone number in the header
  • A training academy sitting inside a treatment site without either one burying the other
  • Built to take a second location, because The Langdon Retreat opens in Basildon without the site being rebuilt around it

Built for a business with more to say than one page holds, and a second site already on the way. At this size it is Bespoke work, not a £499 Starter.

Cleaning and property maintenance · Basildon · five sections

Early Bloom

A tenant wants a price and a date. A letting agent wants to know you will turn up every time and invoice properly. Same company, same website, two readers who want opposite things.

  • A section written for letting and estate agents, in their language rather than a householder's
  • Starting prices on the page, with the final quote confirmed after someone has looked at the property
  • The guarantee stated in public: a free re-clean if the work is not right, finished to inventory-checklist standard
  • DBS checks and insurance where a landlord looks for them, not buried on an about page

Built so two completely different customers each find their own half of the business. Five sections, which is Starter and Complete territory.

Live site · ours

At-home blood testing · e-commerce and customer portal · our own business

Vitall Check

Selling a blood test is not really selling the test. It is selling the thing that lands 48 hours later, and whether someone can understand it without a medical degree.

  • Kits grouped by what somebody is actually worried about, such as hormones, performance or longevity, rather than by laboratory category
  • Results in a portal, every biomarker shown against its range in plain English, instead of a PDF nobody can read
  • A full shop: accounts, basket, tracked delivery and checkout, not a brochure with a contact form bolted on
  • The lab accreditation, the rating and the 48-hour promise all inside the first screen, because that is what gets a stranger to buy

Our own business, and the reason we can quote for shops, logins and portals without hedging. This is what the £1,500 tier is for.

Live site

Insurance brokers · Newcastle · a regulated trade

North Star Insurance Brokers

A landlord comparing brokers checks one thing before anything else: are you actually regulated, and by whom. Bury that and the quote form never gets touched.

  • The FCA reference sitting in the first screen next to the number of insurers compared, not in small print at the bottom
  • Landlord, commercial and personal split into three routes, because they are three different buyers with three different worries
  • Case studies given their own section, which is how a broker earns a phone call rather than a form fill
  • The same-day call back written down as a promise instead of left for the visitor to assume

Built for a regulated trade, where the compliance detail has to earn its place in the sales copy. Newcastle rather than Essex: the work travels, and so do we.

The concepts

Sixteen designs for businesses that do not exist

Every one of these is invented, and says so. They are here because most trades will not find themselves in a medispa or a cleaning firm, and because a design built without a client's constraints shows the standard more honestly than one built around them.

Concept

Plumber · Basildon · 5 pages · Starter, £499

Hartley Plumbing & Heating

Someone with a dead boiler in January isn't browsing. They want to know you can come today and how to reach you in one tap.

  • Phone number in the header on every page, tappable on a phone
  • How fast you turn up, in the headline, not buried on an about page
  • Gas Safe number and call-out price, without scrolling far

Built for one thing: a phone call in one tap, from any page.

Concept

Electrician · Essex · 8 pages · Complete, £799

Voltbridge Electrical

Nobody searches for "electrician". They search for "EICR Basildon" or "EV charger fitted near me". One page can't show up for all of it. Eight can.

  • A page for each job, so every search has somewhere to land
  • Trade bodies listed as plain facts, not badges stuck on every page
  • Homes and businesses kept apart, because they hire in different ways

Built for search: eight pages, eight things people actually type.

Concept

Salon · Billericay · 6 pages · Complete, £799

The Cutting Room

A salon site has one job at 9pm on a Sunday: take the booking before the customer changes her mind or rings somewhere else.

  • A booking button fixed in the header, on every page, on every device
  • The full price list readable on a phone. No PDF, no pinching and zooming
  • Softer type and more room, because the work is what sells the place

Built for Sunday night: a booking taken before she rings somewhere else.

Concept

Café and bakery · Southend · 5 pages · Starter, £499

Copper & Crumb

Nobody reads a café's about page. They want to know if you're open, where you're, and whether there's anything left in the cabinet.

  • Opening hours and today's menu on the first screen
  • The menu as real text so search engines read it, not a photo of a chalkboard
  • Directions and parking, because half the visitors are round the corner

Built for the walk past: open, where, and what's left, in one screen.

Concept

Personal trainer · Basildon · 6 pages · Complete, £799

Fenwick Strength

Most people arrive having half decided already. Two things stop them: the price, and the fear of looking daft. This site deals with both on the first screen.

  • Prices on the page, so nobody has to send an awkward email to find out
  • A free first session, so the first step is small instead of a sale
  • Results shown only when they are real, with the client’s say-so; a marked slot until then

Built to remove the two blockers: what it costs, and looking daft.

Concept

Mobile therapist · South Essex · 5 pages · Starter, £499

Marsh Lane Therapy

A mobile business lives or dies on one question: do you come to me? Answer it in the headline and the wrong enquiries stop arriving.

  • The area covered, right on the first screen, so nobody books from forty miles away
  • A calm layout with room to breathe, so the page feels like the treatment
  • Free times shown, not a contact form, because timing is the whole question

Built to answer one question first: do you come to me?

Concept

Kitchen and bathroom fitter · Billericay · Starter, £499

Ashdown Kitchens & Bathrooms

Someone spending fifteen thousand pounds on a kitchen compares three firms before they let anyone in. The one with real projects, real prices and a clear process gets the survey.

  • Book a survey on every page, with the phone number next to it
  • Recent projects with the town and the time on site under each one
  • Typical costs, and what changes the price, before anyone has to ask

Built to win the comparison: proof, prices and process before the quote.

Concept

Physio clinic · Chelmsford · Starter, £499

Fernbrook Physiotherapy

Patients want to know who will treat them, whether they are registered, and what it costs. Answer those calmly and the booking follows.

  • Every physiotherapist named, with their HCPC number
  • Fees on the page, including what cancelling costs
  • The first appointment explained minute by minute, with no promises about outcomes

Built to be trusted: who treats you, how they are registered, and what it costs.

Websites for clinics

Concept

Accountant · Basildon · Starter, £499

Brightwell Accounts

People put off ringing an accountant because they don't know what it will cost or who they'll get. This one answers both before they scroll.

  • Fixed fees in the first screen, with VAT stated
  • A free 20-minute call as the one action, on every page
  • Self Assessment dates written out, with reminders offered

Built to earn the first call: a named person and a fixed fee.

Websites for professional services

Concept

Florist · Rayleigh · Starter, £499

Larkspur Flowers

Somebody sending flowers wants to know three things: what it costs, whether it can go today, and when to order by.

  • Same-day cut-off in the status bar, not hidden on a delivery page
  • Best sellers with prices including VAT
  • Delivery charges and the fresh-flowers returns rule in plain words

Built to sell: what it costs, and how to get it today.

Websites for shops

Concept

Restaurant · Maldon · Starter, £499

Plover

People choosing where to eat tonight want three things fast: is there a table, what's on the menu, and what will it cost. This answers all three in the first screen.

  • A table picker in the first screen: guests, day and time, then one tap to request
  • The whole menu as real text, every dish priced, with an allergen filter
  • Private dining with capacities and minimum spends written out

Built to fill tables: the booking is the first thing you can do.

Websites for food and hospitality

Concept

Cocktail bar · Chelmsford · Bespoke, from £1,500

Mothlight

A bar sells a feeling before it sells a drink. This is the Bespoke tier: an opening scene that plays once, then a drinks list you can actually read on a phone in a dark room.

  • A short opening scene the first time, with the book button working from the first second
  • Every drink with its price, measure and strength, filtered by flavour
  • Events and private hire with spaces, capacities and minimum spends

Built to be remembered, without getting in the way of booking a table.

Dentist · Wickford · Starter, £499

Pebblebrook Dental

Most people put off the dentist because they're nervous or don't know what it'll cost. This site deals with both before anyone picks up the phone.

  • NHS or private, with the fee for each treatment shown as you choose it
  • A calm path for nervous patients, with a note to the dentist built in
  • Registration and inspection details in their proper place, as marked slots until confirmed

Built for the nervous patient: the price and the plan, before the phone call.

Websites for clinics

Concept

Aesthetics clinic · Shenfield · Complete, £799

Ellery Aesthetics

The best aesthetics clinics sell the consultation, not the treatment. This one leads with who you'll see and time to think, and stays inside the advertising rules.

  • Consultation first, with who you would see and what it costs
  • No prescription medicine named or priced, and no before-and-after promises
  • An 18 and over line, and qualifications shown as marked slots until confirmed

Built to earn trust: unhurried, honest, and within the rules.

Concept

Solicitor · Rayleigh · Starter, £499

Wren & Hale Solicitors

People compare solicitors on price, then on whether they trust you. This puts the full cost of a move on the page, to the pound, without asking for an email.

  • A cost calculator: fees, VAT and disbursements, itemised
  • Conveyancing and wills priced in full, with stages and timescales
  • The SRA badge and regulatory details in the right place, as marked slots until confirmed

Built to win the comparison: the whole price, up front.

Concept

Farm shop and deli · Crays Hill · Starter, £499

Hobb's Acre Farm Shop

People plan a trip to a farm shop around what's in season and whether you're open. This chalks both up on the first screen, with prices.

  • What's in season this month, priced per kilo, on a chalkboard you can flip through
  • Open now, today's hours and the click and collect cut-off, worked out live
  • Every price including VAT, with allergens, and buy buttons that go to the shop

Built for the weekend trip: what’s in, when you’re open, and what it costs.

Websites for shops

What they all have in common

One thing to do on every screen

Call, book, or get a quote. A site that offers three choices gets none of them taken.

Fast on a phone on 4G

No page-builder bloat, no twelve tracking scripts. Most of your customers are on a phone with two bars.

Written to be found

Service and town in the headings, because that's what people type: "emergency plumber Basildon", not "bespoke plumbing solutions".
