Websites for emergency trades

Websites for emergency trades. Built to make the phone ring.

When a pipe bursts or someone's locked out, nobody reads. They want your number, the area you cover and what it costs to get you out. That's what goes first.

What your customers are looking for

1

They're stressed, and they're on a phone

Most call-outs start in a hurry, on a small screen. Your number has to be one tap away on every page, not tucked in a footer.

2

They want to know what it'll cost

Say how you charge before they ring: the call-out, what it covers, and what happens if you can't fix it. If you'd rather not give a figure, we leave it out instead of guessing.

3

They're letting a stranger into their home

Gas Safe, NICEIC or other scheme numbers, each linked to the register so anyone can check. Real photos of you and your van, not stock.

What we put on the site

Every site starts from a checklist for emergency trades, then changes to fit your business. This is the starting list, before we know the details.

  • A Call button in the header of every page, and a call bar fixed to the bottom of the screen on phones
  • An 'Answering now' line that only shows during the hours you really answer
  • How you charge, in plain words: call-out, what it covers, how people pay
  • Your scheme numbers, each linked to the official register
  • A real list of the towns and postcodes you cover, so the wrong calls stop
  • A 'WhatsApp a photo' button and a short callback form, for people who can't talk right now

What every page is for

A phone call, one tap from anywhere. A WhatsApp with a photo comes second, and a short callback form third.

What we won't write on your site

Unless you can back it up, it doesn't go on.

  • '24/7' or 'with you in 30 minutes', unless you can back it up
  • 'No call-out fee' when there is one
  • 'Cheapest in Essex', or anything else you can't prove
  • 'Google Guaranteed', or a badge for a scheme you're not in

The five pages of a Starter site

This is what a £499 Starter site for emergency trades is made of. Legal pages like privacy come on top and don't count towards the five.

  1. 1
    Home

Your number, your area and how you charge, before anyone scrolls.

  2. 2
    Services

Each emergency in the words people use: no hot water, burst pipe, locked out.

  3. 3
    Prices and how we charge

Call-out, rates, payment and cancellation, in plain words.

  4. 4
    Areas we cover

One honest list of towns and postcodes, with a map.

  5. 5
    About and reviews

Named people, van photos, scheme numbers and your real reviews.

Which package usually fits

Four fixed prices, paid once. We'll tell you honestly which one suits you, and it's often not the biggest.

One page

A good start if you're one van with one main service and want something simple.

£375
Usually the right fit

Starter

Services, prices, areas and about each get a page, so you can be found for more searches.

£499

Complete

When you want a page for each emergency, a 'what to do now' safety page, and town pages where you've done real jobs.

£799

Bespoke

We'd usually talk you out of it. Someone with water through the ceiling wants your number, not an animation. Complete is the better spend.

from £1,500

No VAT to add. Starter is up to five pages and Complete is about ten. Bespoke is priced after a 15-minute call. Every price, in full

Who this covers

The same checklist works for all of these. If your business is close but not listed, it almost certainly fits here too.

Your homepage design is free

We design your homepage first and send you a private link. If you like it, we build the rest. If you don't, you pay nothing and that's the end of it.

Once you've approved it, you pay in full or pay a deposit, and the site goes live within 7 days of that landing.

Questions emergency trades ask

I already get work from Checkatrade. Why do I need a site?

People who find you on a directory often look you up before they ring. A site you own backs that up, and the calls it brings in don't cost you per lead.

Can the site say we answer 24/7?

Only if you do. If you answer 7am to 9pm, the site says that, and the 'Answering now' line only shows in those hours. Promising more than you can do is how bad reviews start.

Do you need my Gas Safe or NICEIC number?

Yes, if you have one. We show it near the top and link it to the register, so a customer can check it in seconds. We never show a scheme logo without the number behind it.

What if I do planned work too, like bathrooms or rewires?

That's fine. If call-outs pay the bills, we build for those and give the planned work its own section. If it's mostly planned work, planned trades is the better fit.

Where your customers are

We're in Basildon and build for businesses across Essex and east London. These ten towns each have their own page.
